The LittleJS engine's brick-breaking example, with a browser-rendered start screen.

Desktop Chrome rendered the colored brick field, paddle, Score: 0 and Click to Play prompt. A round was not started, so paddle response, collision behavior and score progression remain untested.

Source checks and control tests are different. Read each project’s notes before opening. Images are labeled by type; a preview does not confirm working controls.

Unconfirmed project archive (7)

These research records are separate from the main directory. A blocked check can depend on our connection; an unconfirmed launcher needs a current game address. They are excluded from the directory count and random selection. Read the troubleshooting guide or check policy for context.

  • HextrisAccess check blocked

Our source check reported an expired certificate. Launch is withheld rather than bypassing HTTPS.

    Checked 2026-10-11
  • Cheese Cube · browser leadLauncher unconfirmed

The supplied browser address redirected to an unrelated site. A Steam Workshop record identifies Cheese Cube Unlimited V1.0, but that workshop page is for a custom map and does not prove a working browser port. No current replacement launcher, browser data requirements or controls were confirmed.

    Checked 2026-10-11
  • BO2 / Vibe Slops · browser leadLauncher unconfirmed

The supplied Vibe Slops address failed our HTTPS connection check. A search lead associated the name with Claude of Duty / Vibe Slops II, but a current primary repository could not be retrieved. We have not confirmed that this is a port of the retail Black Ops II game, or established its data requirements.

    Checked 2026-10-11
  • Modern Warfare 2 · browser leadAccess check blocked

The supplied address returned HTTP 429 in our HTTPS check. A reader saw a browser-verification page citing high traffic. We could not inspect a current game launch flow, data requirements or controls; this does not establish a worldwide outage or a complete Modern Warfare 2 port.

    Checked 2026-10-11
  • Unreal Tournament · browser leadLauncher unconfirmed

The supplied ut.pieter.com address identifies Urban Terror and ioUrbanTerror, not Unreal Tournament. Urban Terror has a separate record in this directory. We have not confirmed another UT browser launcher, compatible game data or controls and do not relabel that project's launch button as Unreal Tournament.

    Checked 2026-10-11
  • Hedgewars · browser leadAccess check blocked

The supplied webwars.link address failed certificate hostname validation; we did not bypass the certificate. The official Hedgewars website identifies the original game, but is not a verified browser launcher. Browser-specific data requirements, multiplayer and controls remain unknown.

    Checked 2026-10-11
  • GTA V · browser leadAccess check blocked

The supplied address returned HTTP 522 and the reader timed out. We could not inspect a launcher or determine whether it contains any GTA V game content. No file requirement, controls, campaign or working browser release is established by this record.

Choose by preparation, then by genre

Use the no-game-files filter if you want projects that do not ask you to supply a separate data set. This says nothing about download size: a browser still retrieves scripts and assets. The own-files filter identifies a different preparation task, while unconfirmed requirements are kept separate instead of being guessed. Genre narrows the style of play after those practical choices. Searching matches project names, descriptions and genres, so a partial name is often enough.

Understand the verification labels

A source-page check records a response or visible landing screen. Basic input testing requires an observed interaction, such as the score changing after arrow keys in 2048. A loading attempt can remain inconclusive, even when the website responds normally. Each card expands to show the actual scope and date. Projects labeled Access check blocked or Launcher unconfirmed appear in the separate status archive, outside the main filters, count and random selection. A blocked check may reflect our connection or a certificate problem; it is not a worldwide outage claim. Read our verification policy for how these distinctions work.

Save and share a useful shortlist

The bookmark stores a project ID on this browser. Recently opened records an outgoing project click, not a completed game session. These lists do not synchronize between devices. The share action copies your current filters, allowing someone else to open the same search without receiving your saved list. Reset restores the full directory. If a particular project needs more preparation than you can provide, choose a related game with a different setup requirement.

Start with a detailed launch guide

The DOOM guide describes the solo launch we observed. The QuakeWorld guide explains a client load that did not finish in our check. BO1 Zombies, Skate 3 and Halo CE show why familiar game names can hide very different browser projects. Use the startup guide for general preparation and troubleshooting when a specific step fails.

Sources and first-edition scope

The main directory contains 40 projects with confirmed launch addresses: 37 game projects, two direct map projects and one engine launcher. Kino and Moon are BO1 maps, and webXash is one launcher for several game-data sets. The count describes project links, not 40 separately tested full games. Seven unresolved records remain in the status archive and are not included in that count. Resource platforms are listed separately.

Project addresses are attached to individual cards; the directory does not serve their game files. Source checks were recorded on October 11, 2026. These records describe that check, and project operators can change a deployment later. All entries have corresponding game images. Captions distinguish gameplay screenshots, project screen previews, project artwork and reference game artwork. Image sources and record dates appear in the check notes; artwork or a preview alone does not prove that controls work. No position in this list is presented as a user rating.
