The vel.gg project exposes several zombie-map launchers. Our Kino check downloaded its resources and reached Click to Start, but pointer lock failed in the test browser, so gameplay remains unconfirmed.
Identify the project and choose a map
The project landing page links to individual launchers including Kino, Five, Der Riese, Nacht, Verruckt, Shi No Numa, Ascension, Call of the Dead, Shangri-La and Moon at the time of our source review. We group that project as one directory entry rather than counting every map as an independently tested game. Seeing a map link establishes a launcher entry, not a successful test of the map or its features. Our interaction attempt used Kino der Toten; other maps were not played or timed.
What happened in the Kino check
On October 11, 2026, the start screen displayed Press Any Key to Start and a download prompt of 330.5 MB. Activating the start button produced a progress indicator; we observed it advancing and eventually reaching Click to Start. The next click reported a mouse or sound access error specifying a pointer-lock restriction in the test environment. That is why the directory distinguishes an observed load attempt from a completed control test. We did not verify a playable round, perks, scoring, multiplayer or gamepad input.
Follow the visible startup sequence
- Open the project root and choose the map you want, or use the Kino source link above.
- Read the current download prompt before committing bandwidth.
- Activate the start button and keep the tab open while progress advances.
- At Click to Start, interact with the canvas and read any mouse or audio permission message.
- Confirm movement and aiming before attempting a longer session. This final step was not completed in our environment.
If your browser also reports an input restriction, consult the troubleshooting guide. A fresh tab on the original project may behave differently from a constrained browser context, but that is a diagnostic possibility rather than a guaranteed fix.
Set realistic expectations for this version
The familiar map names do not establish that this deployment has every retail-game mechanic, control binding or online feature. We have not copied a general Black Ops control table into this guide. Read the current project options and onscreen bindings before relying on a particular key. The download observation is also specific to this check: future deployments can change package sizes and startup behavior. No separate installer was part of the flow we observed, but a substantial resource download was required.
Alternatives and correction details
If you want a different shooter preparation flow, read the DOOM solo guide or inspect QuakeWorld's current check. The full directory can filter shooter projects by setup. For a correction, supply the map URL, browser and whether you reached a playable round, rather than reporting only that the root page loaded. About explains our evidence labels. Sources and interaction notes were checked on October 11, 2026 against unversioned project pages; we do not assign a fabricated build number.
